{ SHOT FOR FLYTOGRAPHER : https://www.flytographer.com }

A few weeks ago, I had an incredible time welcoming the Litster family to Newfoundland all the way from British Colombia! We adventured out to Cape Spear to capture their vacation memories, and were greeted by some of the thickest fog I’ve seen yet… Newfoundland giving the Litsters a classic east coast welcome!

Nicole and her family have such sweet souls, and I was over the moon to document their time here!

Jess and Colin’s road to forever started on Bell Island. Well- Colin TRIED to start it on Bell Island!

After trying to propose to Jess over there multiple times only to have his plans spoiled by terrible weather and ferry problems, he ultimately popped the question during a hike at Cape Spear.

Things came full circle the FIRST time when we took an adventure to Bell Island for their engagement session. We spent a few amazing hours wandering around to all their favourite spots and ended the day with a feed of fried chicken. THE BEST!!!

Things came full circle the SECOND time when their wedding day finally came, and we went back to Cape Spear where it all began.

With a first look in her family's backyard, a visit with their cats, an evening ceremony, and super-chill cocktail reception, Jess and Colin’s day was a perfect reflection of how sweet, wonderful, and true their love is.

Thank you so much babes for your adventurous spirit, all the laughs, and most of all your friendship that I’ve been so blessed to gain. Congratulations!!!

Amanda + Ginny's Puffin Proposal // Newfoundland Photographer

0040Puffin-Proposal-St-Johns-Proposal-Photographer-LGBT.jpg

Two years ago, Amanda and Ginny saw a documentary down home in the United States about a puffin rescue group here in Newfoundland, called Puffin & Petrel Patrol NL

Volunteering for this organization would eventually lead the ladies all the way from Virginia to our beautiful island. Little did Ginny know, a proposal had been planned, with me secretly in tow to capture it!!

When the day of the proposal came, I played the part of a camera-enthusiastic tourist pretty well on the Gatherall's Boat Tour ;) After hiding in plain sight for a while, which enabled me to photograph the couple secretly, Amanda popped the question after Ginny released a puffin. A whole boatload of people got to watch these beautiful souls get engaged on the open sea and it was PERFECT.

Once Ginny said yes, all the plans were of course revealed, and the three of us continued the day with a Rocket Bakery picnic (YUM) and adventure at Cape Spear.

Thank you Amanda & Ginny for being such incredible, loving humans and spending your happy day with all of us here on the rock!

**THEIR STORY WAS FEATURED ON CBC NL ALONGSIDE MY PHOTOS FROM THE DAY!**

Sarah and Chad's Engagement Session at Cape Spear in St. John's // Newfoundland Wedding Photographer

Another beautiful tale of what happens when Newfoundlanders make a new home together on the mainland, but can't resist the pull of the island tides for their special day.

Sarah and Chad came home to St. John's this summer and of course we had to take the opportunity to capture their engagement photos... so we knew there was no better place than Cape Spear.

With the wild wind and ocean below, Sarah and Chad bared their souls on these rocks and what we captured was the deep, beautiful connection they share.

Congratulations and all my love to Sarah and Chad! In less than a year you will be #BecomingTheBuddens and I can't wait to continue along on your journey!

Edwards Family Session at Cape Spear in St. John's // Newfoundland Family Photographers

On a foggy Sunday, these 3 (with me in tow!) headed to Cape Spear for some fun, adventurous family photos. I am once again offering family sessions, and I can't think of a better way to kick that off than with this adorable bunch.

FROM THE CLIENT:

I couldn't be happier with how our family pictures turned out. Maddie made the whole experience fun and super easy going. She completely captured the love in our little family and the curious free spirit that is our daughter. Maddie is incredibly talented and we can't wait to work with her again!

If you are looking to have some candid, fun, free spirited family photos of your own, get in touch!

Thanks again guys for an amazing session! I can't wait to photograph your engagement shoot this summer, and your wedding in the fall! Until next time, xx
