Sarah + Chad's Wedding at Glendenning in St. John's // Newfoundland Wedding Photographer

Ever since I met Sarah & Chad, I knew we would and go on some amazing adventures, belly laughing all the way.

Oh BOY was I right.

From their Cape Spear engagement session last year to their wedding this summer, it’s been nothing but a complete joy to be by their side documenting some of their happiest days!

These two are so silly, fun loving, adventurous, and share a passionate connection that is so clear across their faces. We got them hitched at Glendenning, explored Quidi Vidi, piggybacked on George Street, and danced the night away like a bunch of loons because Newfoundland parties are the best kind of party!!

Thank you so much for having me along for your wicked day and welcome back home to Newfoundland! <3

Travel Diaries : SWEDEN + COPENHAGEN

0141sweden copenhagen.jpg

In April, I was fortunate enough to travel to Gothenburg, Sweden and Copenhagen, Denmark with one of my best friends! It was an amazing week of exploring local neighbourhoods, being by the water (you know this Newfoundlander can't stay away for long), and experiencing the local culture.

Usually when I travel, they are definitely TRIPS- a constant go to pack in as many things as I can muster. This time, me and my friend Maggie took it slow like an actual vacation for once, haha! Who else is the kind of traveller like me where you need a vacation from your vacation?

Looking at these photographs takes me back to the cobblestone walkways, vibrant houses, music in the streets, and the bustling yet peaceful vibe of the cities that surrounded us. It wasn't all a perfectly executed experience though, keep scrolling for a few funny stories that only I could get myself into!

I hope you enjoy this look into our adventures and the life that pulses through these cities. Until next time, Sweden and Copenhagen. XOX

And that's the end of this travel story! Thank you so much as always for sharing in this experience with me and reading along. Have a beautiful day and I can't wait to keep sharing weddings & love stories with you here all summer!

Shyama + Deborah's Scavenger Hunt Proposal on Signal Hill // St. John's Engagement Photographer

How can you describe something so beautiful that no words seem fitting?

On a misty Saturday in St. John's overlooking The Narrows, Deborah finally got to propose to Shyama after months of carefully planning a city-wide scavenger hunt! Myself and a few other of Shyama's close friends were involved in the scheming over the last while, and it was so amazing to finally see everything come together (despite the good old Rain-Drizzle-Fog)! The love these two share is so sweet, silly, and full of pure joy- it was an honor to be by my friends' side to capture their special day.

It all started when Shyama was left a note at home that morning, telling her to get dolled up and go to the Hungry Heart Café where the gals had their first date! Little did she know, I would be waiting for her with my camera and brunch to kick the day off!

After we ate our delicious banana bread french toast (it was deadly, check it out!), i was tasked with giving Shyama her next letter which would lead her to the next stop on the hunt!

Off to see her friends James and Ian of BubblePixie Soap Co. at the Some Good Market!

As part of this next letter, Deborah had made Shyama a cute little mix CD for her to listen to on the rest of the scavenger hunt, with songs that meant something to their love story!

After having to think a bit about the next clue (nice one Shyama hahah), we were led to the spot where the couple shared their first kiss! Here, another photographer friend Judi was waiting with the final clue and an extra special gift!

The shirt Deborah wore on their first date was lovingly transformed into a gorgeous hankie by her sister! Good thinking, because at this point basically everyone was crying!!

At long last, it was time for Shyama to go find her girl!! On the way up Signal Hill, I got a text from Deborah telling me to change the track on her mix CD to the very last one- and "I Choose You" by Sara Barellies started playing. There wasn't a dry eye in the car- the emotion of what was about to happen was really setting in!

"My whole heart
Will be yours forever
This is a beautiful start
To a lifelong love letter

Tell the world that we finally got it all right
I choose

That's all she wrote!! Thank you so much to Deborah for having me capture this day for you! Congratulations again to Shyama & Deborah!

Jennifer and Jordan's Outdoor Wedding in Baie Verte | Newfoundland Wedding Photographer

It's always so good to go back to my home away from home: Baie Verte, NL. And this trip was made extra special by the wedding of Jennifer and Jordan that I was honored to capture! The two had a beautiful outdoor wedding on family property in their hometown of Baie Verte, surrounded by friends and family. That's what I love about small town Newfoundland- people is so tight knit and you can truly see the love that just radiates between everyone.

The day began with everyone getting ready for the vows by the water, with the guys and gals right across the road from each other...

After a wicked bus ride, it was on to the ceremony on Flatwater Pond!

And then of course, time for adventures all over Baie Verte!! The country music was on blast as we sang along.

Evening rolled around, and it was soon time for J+J's reception back at the pond! The property was magically transformed into a huge tent for everyone to party the night away!

Jennifer and Jordan,

it was a pleasure and a blast to be a part of your special day, and I can't wait to see where life takes you! Thank you and your bridal party for being so adventurous, silly, easygoing, and for allowing me into your lives! All my love, XO!

Rachel and Roger's Quidi Vidi Brewery Wedding in St. John's // Newfoundland Wedding Photographers

Have you ever watched a romance movie and just completely laughed at it, because there's no way it's even close to real life?

Laugh no more, peeps.

Meet Rachel & Roger. Their love is a modern day fairy tale.

After randomly chatting with these two in line at Starbucks one day, and then meeting at the same spot months later for a consultation (through their online photog search and a twist of fate!), I knew R+R were special people- with an even more incredible love between them.

These guys cherish each other in a way that is hard to come by nowadays, and their love is just purely on FIRE. Between their wonderful families, a laid back wedding plan, and the biggest love St. John's has ever seen, it was truly an honor and pleasure to capture their November wedding at Quidi Vidi Brewery!

Keep blazing, Rachel + Roger. xox

The day began at R+R's home where Rachel got ready with her Mom, as well as her maid of honor!

After Roger got ready, it was time for their beautiful first look in Quidi Vidi!

Then, their families showed up with the sweetest small bridal party in tow.

Before the evening wedding at Quidi Vidi Brewery, Rachel and Roger set off on some lovely adventures around St. John's!

Once evening hit, it was officially time for this pair to say I Do in front of a close group of loved ones!

Lacy Rose Design did an amazing job of getting Quidi Vidi Brewery ready for the wedding, and that gorgeous cake by Colorful Creations fit perfectly!

After their sweet ceremony, Rachel and Roger's family and friends gave the best wedding speeches I have EVER heard, and we all danced the night away!

Thank you so much to this amazing couple for allowing me to capture your beautiful love story. :) I can't wait to watch your life together grow!
